About

PERSONAL GROWTH IS A CALLING

Clients have described me as being a “woman of substance.” I’ll take it as a compliment. In my coaching, I drill deep quickly and get to the core of issues. Frankly, I am not for the faint of heart. I prefer to work only with people who have achieved some success and want to harness their wisdom and take their game to the next level. Since 2003, I have leveraged my business career and life experience into a role as an executive coach and international speaker, author and columnist. I practice what I preach. I have been my own agent of change during my career. It has sparked in me a passion for helping others change as well. I’ve committed my life to it. Philanthropist, entrepreneur, team leader, sales trainer, consultant, speaker, author, radio host and columnist are some of the titles I have held over my business career. I’ve gained valuable insight and learned what it takes to become a strong, self-confident leader.

My Background

Leadership: I have over 40 years of experience in leading companies and teams. Some positions I’ve held include Managing Director of the Private Client Group at U.S. Bank and President of Victoria H Trash Executive Coach LLC. Visit my LinkedIn Profile Partnership: Education is an ongoing process for me. I will graduate with honors from Harvard University in November 2022 with a Masters in Anthropology and Archeology. I earned a B.S. in Business from Indiana University a long time ago. Ongoing specialized training as a coach from Coach University, Dream Coach University, John Maxwell, and the Center for Executive Coaching. This training includes over 600 hours of course work, coaching, and ongoing education. Certified by Organization Systems International, I deliver and review with teams the Polaris Competency Model and 360° Survey and am certified to administer the ProfileXT through Profiles International. Collaboration: As a fellow of the Institute of Coaching, I served as a co-researcher and writer of the “Leading with Humanity” report published in 2021 about leadership changes during the pandemic. Facilitating CEO mastermind groups and emerging leaders, members gain new insights on leadership and management from peers and thought leaders. Serving as the co-founder and President of the Itafari Foundation, we created a non-profit organization to assist the survivors of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. We raised over $1.5 million and served thousands of people in Rwanda. (and learned far more about the resilience of the human spirit than I ever knew was possible). Communication: Television, podcast, and radio personality and learning the nuances of speaking well allow me to teach teams how to present multimillion-dollar proposals and win them. Writing is a meaningful way to share messages, and in 2011 I published my first book Dead Rita’s Wisdom, and in 2015 was a co-author in the international best-selling book Cancer: From Tears to Triumph. Additionally, I have been a columnist for Choice Magazine for the column Sticky Situations for over 12 years. It has been an honor to speak at the United Nations, on the TEDx stage, and at corporate and fundraising events in front of thousands of people.

Inspirations:

Accomplishing what seems impossible inspires me. Watching others do it inspires me even more. Seeing the courage of people to overcome tough challenges and achieve great things inspires me too. My husband inspires me as well. When I married John in 1981 he brought with him four incredible stepchildren who now have eight beautiful children of their own. Has it been easy? Are we the Brady bunch? Nope. Far from it. But we are committed to one another and today this expanding family is proof of how we’ve grown together. I continue to be in the process of learning patience, selflessness, the value of humor, the miracle of prayer, the sadness of loss, and the joy of forgiveness. I also realize as a businesswoman that my entire world tilts when there is disharmony in my personal life. So I strive for harmony, peace and fulfillment. And I will not settle for mediocrity. Ever. Working with others who are committed to reaching their next level of success is the most satisfying work I have ever done. I am constantly awed by the amazing transformation I see when people put their minds to making a change. In short, nothing – I repeat nothing – is impossible.
